Ridill's old and outdated now. warriors nowadays sub sam and stack the great axe, which can tie/outperform ridill. Someone light the kaezil flag, new argument's onnnnnnnnn

wth would you want ridill on your thf for? >_> if you wanna DD, your sam would almost always perform better, even against a ridill thf. silly tif, keep doing them dynamis runs and get TH4, thats the only reason why ppl want a thf anyways

It really would have no practical benefit other than to serve as my amusement. It would also be useful in DC/EM situations where I didn't need to have thief's knife equiped. Stuff like Nyzul (whenever I can find a group) it would I think be pretty good, unless I'm underestimating the loss of att/acc from the lack of a higher sword skill, tho suppa and sword merits from blu (dont have them yet tho) would help lessen that gap.

Top? I guess it depends on the situation.
I do see that about 80% of the server has samurai leveled.

@sai: The only people who say that are the ones who can't get a ridill unless they made some sort of ridiculous GA or new war abilities for 2h since I've been gone, but since we are talking about SE I'm banking on that they didn't. Plus /sam grats on no shadows.

Ridill really isn't that great, and I have a reason to say it.
We'll use Myth as an example of a good ridill WAR. I dont think you'd argue he wasnt a good ridill war when you played, so we'll go with that.
We had ridill myth parse against war/sam king hecatomb (genji in case you forgot) and myth did parse ahead of genji, but it was only about 2% higher at the end of the pt. And yeah, genji was full timing seigan and was our main voker for the merit pt.
If genji had gear equal to that of myth's, it would've been a tied parse but myth actually has better gear than genji, so it was off a bit. The reason why war/sam wins (even using full time seigan) is because a war/sam doesn't need to stop and cast shadows. All you have to do is use 1 macro for third eye, none of that ichi shit which slows down your swinging. Plus, you get counter with seigan and retaliation to further up your dmg.
You can argue 3rd eye isn't as reliable as shadows which is true, but it can perform better or worse. Your gains with /sam outweight /nin by far, because /sam lets you get a very easy 6-hit build, along with bonus things like meditate. Even though I'm done meriting now, I think it's silly for any warrior to sub nin unless it's a situational use

Well, I'd expect you to know this shit better than I now a days, but from my experiences utsusemi is reliable, I could never say the same for third eye, taking those kinds of risks seems foolish to me when the mob isn't living for very long anyways (I'm assuming we are talking birds?) and when it comes down to it, being parse king is fine but exp/hr is much more important and a dead man isn't helping you out in that regard.
