With the release date of FF14 looming, are there any plans for a new Moogle Armada?

i pre-ordered the ffxiv ce due to peer pressure... still not sure if i'll be playing yet. if i do, i have to upgrade my video card, coz my current card can't even handle the benchmark lol. for those playing beta, is it really that similar to ffxi? is it worth it?

Sasura told me the beta had so much graphical lag, regardless of your system specs, that it is practically unplayable. I wouldn't know though, I signed up for the PS3 beta >.<

50/50 for me all I gotta say. Kaezil says its a TRAP! I agree what he says but.... like I said, going to need to see alot of familar faces on the same server or I'll be chilling on my ps3/360 and well psp since I need to beat valkyria chronicles 2 and kingdom hearts birth by sleep.

Can't play, won't play. Too busy these days. But I have had like three different groups to try and get me to play again lol. In the end its still SE, and they were/are just horrible at taking care of their customers [in FFXI].

I already ordered the CE version and the beta is laggy as hell. Don't know if I have time to even play it but I'll try to get on it 1 hour a day since it's like resting xp like WOW.

Can we rename our forums the house of the dead? Zombies coming out of the wood works all the time.

I'm not dead yet. Hey Kae and Sai. The new FF seems interesting yet complicated. Also the game is geared to those who don't have whole lot of time to invest in the game. I heard the billing might be different as well as they count the days you actually play instead of the monthly.

At release, the game doesn't look worth playing, the story and world would have to be pretty damn amazing to make up for the fact that players really don't have any content to do other than crafting, mission quests, and leveling using the guild-leve system.
Personally I hope XIV is such a major train wreck that SE decides to never make another MMO again, nobody deserves to experience the frustration that is SE's MMO dev-team.

I've tried the beta for a couple of days and the game just didn't appeal to me. Couldn't stay focus on the game for more than 10 minutes as the game seems to focus on missions and leveling. Even when I was fighting the mole, I felt like I was just buttom mashing most of the time. Probably not going to get the game and stick with SC2 till Diablo 3 comes out. =\

Update: FF14 sucks. I got a buddy pass from a friend for a free 30 day trial. Here's a few reasons why it sucks: 1. No auction house. You have to spend about 2 hours to find anything from browsing bazaars. This results in everyone being gimp. People that reach level 20-30 are still pretty much using the starter gear. To make things worse, even with a high end PC, you can only load about 20 ppl or so on your screen at a time. Highly populated areas? Good luck finding bazaars to load on your screen. 2. Party play is not encouraged. SE decided that they would try to appeal to casual players, so there doesn't seem to be any real point to partying up. Plus, there aren't really any exp camps. 3. The leveling system is unique in that you need to gain skill points as job levels. You fight a monster that is roughly even match, it takes you forever to kill it, and you get the same amount of skill points as something that was easy prey. Horrible. Plus, gaining skill points is completely random, and we all know how lovely that is. You actually benefit more by trying to kill things slowly and gimply, rather than going all out. 4. The "Quests" in FF14 are something called leves. They have a 48 hour cooldown, and you can only do 8 of them per day. This is what SE views as the group play idea. Too bad it sucks still. 5. Fatigue system. Past level 16, youre limited to about 8 hours of exp time before you're capped and can no longer gain levels for the job you're on for the rest of the week. 6. Crafting sucks. SE has this wonderful idea that you should practically be forced to level all tradeskills in order to be a good crafter. Crafting leves at later levels require you to have other crafts leveled in order to complete. 7. Starter areas. Someone at SE thought it'd be cool to place really high level monsters all around the starter areas that will do a ranged attack and 1 shot you. This is not funny The list goes on, but these are my major complaints. And I'm not alone either, the game is getting horrible reviews just about everywhere. Why is every single gaming company retarded, other than Blizzard? seriously, WoW was the only game I can remember in recent times, that actually had a good launch.

I haven't played the release version, but from the sound of it it looks like SE has truly outdone themselves in just plain horrible game design. Bravo! On a side note this spear ( www.ffxiah.com/item/19314/quint-spear ) just begs for me to reactivate XI again for a month for the sole purpose of leveling my spear skill on crabs in boyada tree, shit would be mad funsies.
